August 24 (Renewables Now) – US utility Alliant Vitality Corp (NASDAQ:LNT) has kicked off business operations at a 50-MW photo voltaic park in Wisconsin, its first utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) farm that goes on-line below a 1-GW capability deployment plan.
The Bear Creek photo voltaic park is positioned within the state’s Richland County and will likely be able to producing sufficient electrical energy to produce roughly 13,000 properties, Alliant Vitality stated on Monday.
Constructed by engineering, procurement and development (EPC) contractor Burns & McDonnell, the PV farm was put in as a part of the utility’s Clear Vitality Blueprint that envisages the development of over 1 GW of utility-scale photo voltaic crops throughout 12 websites in Wisconsin.
